Help Muhammad Provide for His Family
Australia
Hello, my name is Megan, and I have created this campaign on behalf of my friend Muhammad. Here is his story, in his words: I Just Want a Chance to Live.
My name is Muhammad Al-Kafarneh, and I’m a 26-year-old from Gaza.
I grew up with hardship as a daily reality. Even finishing school felt like a battle, but I never gave up. Education was my only hope, and after years of struggle, I proudly graduated with a degree in English Translation.
I worked tirelessly—long, exhausting hours—saving every single penny to build a better future. I had a dream: to open my own small business and finally live with dignity. For the first time, I felt hope.
But in Gaza, dreams can disappear overnight. Poverty and rising prices drained everything I had, and the war took what was left. In one moment, all my savings—all my years of effort—were gone. This is not the first loss in my life. I lost my brother in the 2012 war. I lost dear friends in this recent one. And I lost my sister’s husband, who was really like a brother to me. Every day, I wake up terrified that my family will be next.
I’m asking for help, not because I want luxury, but because I want to save my family. I want to take them somewhere safe, away from the bombs, the fear, and the hunger. I want us to live like normal human beings—working, laughing, dreaming again.
Your support can give us that chance. Even the smallest donation could mean the difference between life and death for us.
Please, help me protect my family. I just want a chance to live.
